My experience on Shopify,
Shopify includes all the necessary elements and features required to kickstart an online ecommerce store with its basic plan starting from 24 USD (approximate). It also has some expensive plans with premium addons for big stores which require massive traffic management.
OfCourse, I worked on the basic plan and was able to complete all the work in less than a week. I chose Umino theme (thank you Mr. James (LocalAd) for supporting us with theme) purchased from THEME FOREST. It was fun to develop on Shopify. It is 60% similar to WooCommerce in WordPress. All of the customization is done at one place for site front. Everything was easy to understand and manage. You have to only understand the product management with variations. Bulk edit of products makes it further easy.
WooCommerce Vs Shopify
WooCommerce is more flexible than Shopify undoubtedly and is cheap. Shopify is having some expensive plans (which is the major con). Though you find it less hassle in handling Shopify store. You can modify a WooCommerce store for many businesses like restaurant, real estate etc. But Shopify cannot be modified as we can only set ecommerce stores on it. In depth, WooCommerce has many possibilities and flexibility to add features you desire with plugins or custom code. In Shopify you have to rely on Apps which I believe are not that much advanced and also mostly paid.
Conclusion: The store owners who are beginning with the online journey should go with WooCommerce store. And then if they think Shopify is good and fulfilling their requirements, move on to it.
